MLDI helps Mass Media Defence Centre develop database on Russian media law

23. June 2011 Russia's Mass Media Defence Centre has assembled an online media law database containing several hundred decisions, text of laws, as well as legal commentary. The site is free to subscribers.
MLDI has provided financial support to Russia's Mass Media Defence Centre in Voronezh to develop a database of Russian media law, along with a guide to media law and the jurisprudence of the European Court of Human Rights. Unique in the country, the database not only provides the text of several hundred media law decisions but also gives commentary and analysis. In addition, the site provides legal templates and a 'how to' guide for less experienced lawyers.
