Our People
Wilf Mbanga
Wilf Mbanga is the founder, editor and publisher of The Zimbabwean, a weekly newspaper published in the United Kingdom, South Africa and Zimbabwe. He has worked as a journalist for over 40 years.
In 1998 he founded and became Managing Director of Associated Newspapers of Zimbabwe (ANZ), publishers of Zimbabwe's first independent daily national newspaper, The Daily News, which was later bombed and banned by the Zimbabwean government.
He spent a year in the Dutch city of refuge, Tilburg, during which time he co-authored with his wife a biography of former president of Botswana Sir Seretse Khama and his wife Ruth Khama entitled Seretse and Ruth: Botswana's Love Story published by Tafelberg Publishers in 2005.
